Stripped threads kill uptime. These STI taps cut the oversized insert thread that Perma-Thread coils lock into so you get a permanent standard screw thread back in aluminum, cast or steel. Choose USS-SAE or metric to match the fastener. Built for NAS 1222 work including MS 21208 and MS 21209 applications.

Perma-Thread Inserts feature precision-formed coils of extremely hard stainless steel (18-8) with a diamond-shaped wire design, providing permanent conventional screw-threads. Equipped with a notched driving "tang" for easy installation and removal. Designed to meet NAS 1222 specifications and suitable for military trucks, aircraft, and vehicles covered by MS 21208 and MS 21209.

Metric Perma-Thread Insert STI Taps

Perma-Thread Inserts feature precision-formed coils of extremely hard stainless steel (18-8) diamond-shaped wire, providing permanent conventional screw-threads when installed. Designed with a driving "tang" for easy installation and removal. Larger in diameter before installation, they expand outward to anchor securely. Compatible with military trucks, aircraft, and vehicles per MS 21208 and MS 21209, meeting NAS 1222 specifications.
